For over a year know I have been regularly producing my podcast, Daydreamer-Explorations In Fluid Vibrations. Because of copywrite laws I cannot sell mix cds without clearing all the tracks from the artists who own the publishing on them. This can get quite expensive. So i have relied on live gigs and my day job to support my craft. As of right now, this is an unbalanced equation. So, instead of charging for my podcast (or not making them anymore), I am simply asking for donations to offset the cost of producing my sets( i.e. software, gear,records,etc). Think of it as a tip, a gratuity, to show that you appreciate all the hard work I put into my music, and to keep it coming for years to come.
